Dear residents of Ward F:
Thank you for six incredible months of conversations about public education in Edmonton. Looking back, it seems amazing that so many of you have welcomed me on your doorsteps, approached me at community events, and connected with me through social media and the internet. I have learned a lot from you, and I hope that my vision for community engagement in Edmonton’s public school system has refreshed your outlook on the school board.
This campaign would never have happened without the hard work and open hearts of Edmontonians. Without my volunteers and supporters, pamphlets and lawn signs would have sat in my living room gathering dust. But more importantly, the community effort that went into this campaign is an encouraging reflection of its community focus. Thank you for all your hard work.
I am honoured that you have chosen me to represent the communities of Ward F. I would also like to thank my opponents for engaging in the kind of democratic contest our public school board deserves.
I will work to hard to listen to all your voices, represent all your views, and bring all your energy and ideas to the governance of our public schools. By working together, we can ensure that our students and our communities build off each other’s successes.
Tomorrow, the real work begins!
Keep in touch,
